errors with UPS shipping rates to Europe

Has anyone else noticed that the "live" UPS shipping rates for orders from
Europe are not correct lately? The last two orders I've had from Europe
were for less than 1 pound. The rate that comes up in ShopSite for
Worldwide Expedited Shipping is $44.62, but when I print out my shipping
label at ups.com, the current rate is actually $49.99.

I'm not sure if ShopSite needs to renew or refresh its rates with UPS, or if
this is truly an error coming directly from UPS.

The shipping rate is coming directly from UPS there are no internal tables in
ShopSite which contain this information. There may be descrepencies dependinng
on whether the package is sent to a home or a business. There is a
configuration in the ShopSite UPS setup for setting where most packages are sent
but you can't set it on a package by package bases so that may lead to a
difference in cost. I believe that residential deliver is more expensive than
business deliver so you may want to set it to residentual if you plan on
shipments going to a home rather than business.

Thanks, Jim. I do have it set correctly for residential, and you're right,
it is a little more expensive to send to a residence versus a business, but
still, the rates do not seem to be correct for Europe. I'll give UPS a call
and see what's going on. Mark

You should also check to see if the weight of the package you are
sending and that you are making the label for matches with the total
weight you have entered in ShopSite for the products that were ordered.
