creating limited "backroom" access for multiple us

I'm currently selling a couple of videos at my site for which I give
royalties to the owners of the videos for each sale that occurs. Up until
this point, they've had no access to any of my store functions, so they've
just trusted that I'm giving them an accurate count of how many videos I'm
selling each month.

I'm going to start selling even more videos for others in the near future.
I'd like to come up with some way for them to know how many of their videos
I've sold, without also giving them total access to my store.

Does anyone know how I could do this? I haven't started using the Order
Manager from ECommerce Utilities yet, but I don't think that program has
this particular capability. I think I might be able to set up something
like an affiliate link for these particular products so that the owner of
the video receives an email whenever one of his products is sold, but I
don't want to give him a regular affiliate link because that would override
any "real" affiliate referrals and cheat them out of their commissions.

Any ideas?

I'm not clear on how the video owner is being compensated? If it is from
you buying their videos then everytime you order from them they know what
you sold. If they drop ship for you then the same thing goes. If you are
duplicating the video when the order comes in then I understand the problem.
One option is some custom programming with the ShopSite Order API. Once the
order is taken the Order API program would kick off an e-mail to the
appropriate video owner based upon what product was ordered.
