What API's, if any, are available for customizing certain cgi generated
product items.

I would like to write a script that assigns the file name for a product
based on the actual product name, instead of being manually entered in the
product page.

Is there an API for this?

btw - I have 6.1.1 Pro

There is nothing in ShopSite itself that would facilitate this.
However, if you use a spreadsheet or database program like Excel or
Access to create your products off line and then upload them through the
ShopSite upload feature this would be very easy to do.

btw - I have 6.1.1 Pro

hmmmmm i thought about that, does that require a complete reload of all
products with each change? or would it accept just new items, or just
changes.

btw - I have 6.1.1 Pro

You can upload just the products that are new or changed. You also don't
need
to specify every possible field for a product, just a field to match on
(name
or sku) and what ever fields are important for your particular use.
