Integrating an affiliation network (to ShopSite Pro 6)?

ShopSite version: SC Pro 6.1.1

Hi

We want to join an affiliate network (probably either
TradeDoubler or AffiliateWindow).

In order to do this, we need to pass information about
order value back to our affiliate network provider's
server, from the ShopSite Thankyou page.

Our ShopSite providers in the UK haven't done this
sort of thing before and think it might be quite expensive...

Can anyone from ShopSite do this kind of integration
for us at a reasonable cost?

P. S. We are also looking at a manual affiliation system
such as "myaffiliateprogram.com".

Hi,

I would recommend checking out the great affiliate software called
Ultimate Affiliate.

http://www.groundbreak.com

$200.00 1 time cost, and has tons and tons of features. We run it on 1
shopsite store, and many other stores.

If you have shopsite pro, it will intergrate very easily with 1 perl
script that goes in your order.api section.

Loren I belive can help you with this.

thanks

Hi Loren,

you are correct, your link is the correct one :)

But seriously, don't waste your money on 3rd party affiliate programs
when you can run your own very easily.

thanks

Todd

Great thanks for the link, Loren.
We are also looking at www.MyAffiliateProgram.com which claim
to be the market leaders in 'In House' affiliate software and which
one of our SEO suppliers recommends.

Any views on it, anyone? They have just under 2000 merchants
and evidently some of them use ShopSite...

Your UA vested interest noted incidentally, Loren, though I'm
sure you wouldnt let that bias you... ;)

with thanks

I don't think a $10 affiliate fee would really bias me that much, it
just happens to be the only one I have used or seen the features of, and
it seems pretty decent so I have no problem recommending it. Of course
you are the only one that knows what your specific needs are, so I don't
mind one bit if you decide on something else.
