REQUEST FOR NEW FEATURES.

Hello All ShopSite Coupon Lovers:
I don't know the "preferred" method of suggesting a new and/or enhanced
feature for Shop Site so I'll use this forum.
Background:
I have a group of 8 videos. When you purchase any 2 of them you get a
$20.00 discount. I use the coupon feature for this. I've listed the 8 videos
in the Specific Product "pool" of items and applied a $10.00 discount and
set the "Minimum Cart Value" to 2 units. If you purchase just one item and
add the coupon, NO DISCOUNT is applied. When you add two videos to your
cart and the coupon, you get the discount. All works well. However, if you
add a 3rd video from the 8 in the coupon "pool" you get another $10.00 off.
This continues so that if you were to purchase all 8 videos you would get a
total of $80.00 off your cart. THIS IS NOT THE ADVERTISE DISCOUNT RATE OF
BUY 2 SAVE $20.00.
New Coupon Field:
I would like to see a new Coupon field: "Maximum Allowed Discount." When
the shopping cart discount rate hits this value, the discounting is STOPPED
and only the value in the Maximum Allowed Discount field is applied to the
order. This seems like a straight forward if-then-else kind of test.
Just for good Measure:
Currently all coupons are mutually exclusive of themselves. In other words,
you cannot apply the same coupon to a cart and get multiple discounts. I
would like to have a new field were I could type in (or select from a pick
list) other coupon code(s) that would likewise be mutually exclusive of the
currently applied coupon and would in fact cancel out the current coupon.
For example a "Buy 3 videos and save $40.00" coupon if added to a cart with
the "Buy 2 and save $20.00" coupon would cancel it out and you would then
get a $40.00 maximum discount (see above new field) if you purchased two
more videos.
It would seem to me that both of these features would not be very difficult
to add to the current coupon scheme.
What do you think of these new features? Could you use them also?
To the ShopSite folks: How difficult would it be to add something like
this?
