I am looking to use the order anywhere set up to customize some web pages
and use an input box to substitute in the item number for the item number in
the order anywhere generated tag.

My first question is are there in any unforeseen problems in doing this?

and the secondly:

is there any way for me to access the database or an cgi call that i can use
to verify that the product exists and if the user typed in the wrong item
number, then to tell them so rather than just getting an empty cart?
