USPS shipping label question

Postby Dan Richards » Sun Feb 09, 2003 10:29 am

Hi,

Is there any way to integrate shopsite with the USPS shipping labels service
on their web site. Hate to have to re-type all those addresses.

Tx

If you use the Stone Edge Order Manager for ShopSite
(http://www.stoneedge.com/OrderManager.htm), one of the many features is the
integration with UPS Online Worldship, which is a free program that UPS
gives to their merchants. Not only can WorldShip import names, addresses,
phone numbers, email addresses, etc. from your ShopSite orders (via the
Order Manager); it can also export the tracking numbers, pickup dates and
actual shipping costs back to the Order Manager, where they can be used to
quickly track packages. Tracking data can also be inserted into your email
templates, and it can be included in our new Web-based Order Status System
(http://www.stoneedge.com/track_your_order.htm).

Please feel free to give us a call if you would like more information.

Barney,

We're to far away from any UPS location, so we use the United States Postal
Service. Can you integrate with their tracking system?

Sorry, Dan. Your question clearly was for USPS, and I thought I saw UPS and
answered the wrong question.

The Order Manager can export shipping data to any shipping program that can
import from a text file. It can also import tracking numbers, pickup dates
and shipping costs from any program that can export that information in a
text file, as long as the text file can also include our order number.

We have quite a few users who use Postal Package Partner or Endicia, two
popular programs for USPS shipping. We are also working on a new feature
that should be available in the next few weeks that lets the Order Manager
communicate directly with USPS's servers, get a tracking number, and print a
USPS label with barcodes, etc.

Hopefully that answers your question properly this time!
