Help with Search Field Window Size

I'm running SS 6.2 Pro on a WIN 2K server and I've created a custom template
for my site. As part of the Template I am using the [--SEARCH_FORM--] tag
which is working fine. However the size of the text entry field is just too
large for the page. Is there anyway to reduce the input window to just a few
characters?

To change the search form size you will need to hand code the form in the
template and set the width to what you need. You can just copy the search form
from a ShopSite generated page and put it in the template where you want it.
Then make the necessary modifications to the "size" part of the form.

You must have a real ShopSite search form on at least one page for ShopSite to
generate the search index. The page containing this form doesn't have to be
linked to any other pages though.

Thanks Jim ... I tried that and it worked great. Of course right after I got
it working the owner decided that he didn't want that on every page so I
have to go a different route.
