To custom template or not

We currently use 6.1.1 and have used shopsite for many years and designed
our own work arounds years ago, before shopsite developed greater
flexibility.
Without getting into too much detail, in the pages database we extensively
use the fields "Link Name", Link Graphic", "Link Text", and "Link
Location". This works well except we would sometimes like to be able to add
the key additional fields (to the link page) from the product db;
specifically "price", "sale amount" (if applicable), "Add to Cart Button" ,
"View Cart Button" and perhaps others - so that customers can see relevant
info without clicking through.
Can this be done? Or can this be done with a custom template?
Thanks
