Double coupon question

Is there a way to keep customers from using multiple coupons at checkout? We
run many different specials at a time. What we have had happen is
customers will use the coupon link from our newsletter and while they are
shopping they will run across a coupon special on select products and
they use it too.

Is there a setting in the back office that will allow only one coupon or
discount per order?

Justin,
There is no setting to allow only a single coupon per order. We are looking at
that for a future release.

If you set the coupons to be product specific that would allow you to have
multiple coupons at the same time but not allow them to be applied to the same
product so that a shopper can't get a double discount on a single product.
Shopping cart wide coupons will allow the compounded discount.
