using the /media/ forlder on another domain

Postby Spaghetti » Mon Sep 30, 2002 3:41 pm

my auth file fecifyies that the store location is (example)
http://example.my/store and so all images in the built store are
linked with this prefix.

We have changed the DNS configuration and the webserver is rechable only via
http://www.example.my/store (whit the www. ),
is it possible to resolve this problem without getting a new authfile?

Sort of. You can change the image URL's manually for each image in Images ->
Edit Image Attributes. But by default it will use what is in the .auth file, and
if you hit the Reset Image attributes, it will use the auth file URL again. The
links to ShopSite-generated pages from other ShopSite-generated pages will
always use the auth file URL as their base, no way around this. Your best bets
would be to either get a new auth file, or have your DNS controller make the
URL's work without the www as well.
