Hello,
I wondered if in a future release qty discount feature may be available on
shopsite?

Can you give more information about what you think "qty discount" should
do?

Jim,
For example say a person purchases 10 of one product from our store the
customer gets this at a reduced rate for that item.
So for example price for 1 off is 1.00 and price for 12 off is 0.50

Jim,
Does it have to be the same item?
If you are selling T-shirts with order options for color and they order 9 red
and 1 blue do they get the discount?
If they order the same item 10 different times instead of putting a quantity
of
10 for a single item do they still get the discount?
It's questions like this that make it harder to implement this type of
feature. Does anyone else need this kind of functionality and if so how do
you
see it being implemented?

Jim,
I suppose if I had a priority, I would work from simple to complex. ( I
also am not a programmer)
1) Qty discount would be for the same item with the same sku. We could set
the qty level and the discount rate. ( or dollar level and discount rate)
2) Next step: We can add whatever skus are included in the discount scheme,
so you can select parts of your product skus - to all your product skus.
3) We can have subgroups of discounts so all t shirts sku's get 20% off when
ordering 10. But all hammers get only 5% off when order just 5.
4) Then do we offer the option of the discount being selected as an option
of percentage rate vs dollar amount or even both?
5) If order options also cause a price change to an sku (very nice feature
you have by the way). Then I suppose it would have to be a percentage of all
the items (skus) you selected for that group. As it may be hard to
offer/configure a dollar amt discount when options change the price.
6) Perhaps this is the easiest to program: If they spend a certain dollar
amount for the entire order - they get a flat discount and/or if they order
a certain quantity of items, irregardless of sku, then they get a percent
off the entire order.
Lots to think about. I believe in keeping it simple and clear, but also
listening to our clients requests.
Thanks for you continued support.
