Currently using 5.0 on Windows 2k, and I have had a few ideas for
suggestions when 6.2 comes out...

1. Global image attribute setting (do this like global changes on pages
and
products - you can choose which attributes to change, like width, height,
alt text, v and hspace, and (add this one) align)

2. Overall site attributes - text link alink vlink colors - do this
somewhere in the backend, so that every new page that gets added has these
attributes to start with (there may be a way to do this presently, but I
haven't discovered it yet...) I currently use custom templates, and the
default colors are not what I need (they are stuck on one of the default
template colors). I realize one way to do this is to create a custom
template of my own from the ground up - I attempted this already, and it
is
too involved for what I need (time is not worth it).
Also, if a default font could be set, rather than having to make sure I
have
font tags everywhere, that would be nice - another time saver.

3. Don't know if this would be possible, but an easy way to change the
default media directory so a different name can be used for the folder
(this
might be something I can change as well presently, but like above, I
haven't
run into anything obvious)

1. Buyer registration so people don't have to enter their data each
time...
but make this OPTIONAL. They can register if they want, and not

2. Coupons that expire after one use. This way if a customer has a
credit
towards new products or we want to give him $5.00 off his next order
because
of a problem with his last order or something, we can create a one
time code
for whatever dollar amount or percentage we want and they can use it
ONCE...
then it expires.

3. A way to integrate more with StoneEdge's Order Manager. Shopsite
could
get inventory amounts, order history, tracking numbers... stuff like
that
from Order Manager. I believe Order Manager can already do some of
this
stuff with MIVA carts. Order Manager posts that data online.

In fact, I believe Shopsite and StoneEdge should work VERY CLOSELY
together
to integrate their software. Just think of the possibilities!! It
would make
Shopsite into a shopping cart in it's own league!

I have discussed this with an appropriate person at ShopSite and explained
what we would need to add the same integration with ShopSite that we have
with Miva Merchant. That includes one-button order downloading and inventory
level synchronization in both batch and real-time modes. We are waiting to
hear from them if they are willing and able to give us what we need. Once
they are ready, we could have those features implemented in a few days.

I would like to see modules

I agree. I front end database module that integrates or interoperates with
the online DB or something that synchs the online and offline DBs (because
items like inventory need to be synched) would be great. I am in a
position
here we may be changing (occasionally updating, but mostly adding and
removing) 500-1000 products per week and Access is getting a little clumsy
for these purposes (could you imagine doing this with the web interface of
Shopsite?).

I have not investigated Order Manager or ECom Assembler yet.
