Shopsite Upgrades/Order Anywhere Button

Hi,

We'd like to upgrade to version 5.0 or 6.0 Pro from Version 4.1.
However, I believe I read that previously existing "Order Anywhere"
buttons would be made inoperable due to reassignment of the itemnumber
code. All our pages are custom-designed and we have thousands of
products online, so this would be an unacceptable loss. Is it
avoidable?

Chris,

What you have heard is not correct. That woud only apply if you were
moving your store to another server, and the difference between the
operating systems of the two servers made the databases incomaptible.

An upgrade, on the same server, from ShopSite 4.1 to v5 or v6 will change
the itemnum for the products, so your OrderAnywhere buttons will remain
operable.
