Help with Check out!

Hi
We have pro version 5.0.1.6..
Among other problems right now we have a biggie, I hope someone can help
In check out, on the thank you screen.. the user gets this message(below), and we don't
get a email telling us there is a order, however the customer still gets a copy of receipt
please help!

Solution:
Your email address al@axs2000.net does not exist.
However, your order has been processed correctly.
Your order number is 4659.
Could you warn your merchant that you didn't receive your receipt via email?
