I have a client that is on the border about using ShopSite. One thing he has
asked is whether he can use the quantity discounts for most products, yet
exclude some products from it. Hence... 90% of his products would be based
on a quantity discount but the other 10% would not change no matter how many
were purchased.

Any news on how this would work??? Is it possible?

This couldn't be done with the Discount feature in Pro because the
Discount applies to the entire order without regard to which products
are added, but it could be done with a Coupon in v6 Pro. Basically, a
coupon can apply only to certain products, so you can select the
products that they want the discount to apply to, and not the rest. Of
course the shopper will have to add the coupon to the cart, but that's
pretty easily accomplished since coupons can be entered by a URL and you
could just put the coupon link in the text field at the top of the
shopping cart screen and the text field at the top of the checkout
screen (in case they miss the one in the shopping cart screen).
