e-mail address setting in Shopsite

We are running SC Manager 4.3 Under Preferences / Hosting Service /
Store Settings is a setting for "Merchant e-mail address". The
documentation states:

"Merchant e-Mail address Here you can specify the return address that
appears on automatically generated receipts sent to customers. This is
the customer's primary method of remembering your address for future
correspondence. This is also the address that ShopSite will send e-mail
to when notifying the merchant that an order has been placed."

Is it possible to prevent e-mail notification to the merchant while
continuing to use the specified e-mail address in the customer
receipts? The person who receives our orders already gets the order
information via the web interface and a third-party database (so from
two places) and would prefer not to get a third notification - unless
it's advisable for reasons we're not aware of.

It is only possible to turn off the email receipts sent by ShopSite if you
are using ShopSite Pro and rutn it off through the OrderAPI feature, but
you can't turn the merchant email off separately from the shopper email.
