Pre-purchase questions

Hi all,

We are evaluating several shopping cart type packages to incorporate into
our web site. If you could answer any of these questions, it would be
greatly appreciated.

I see this application is written in C but what are the system requirements
to run it? Does it use IIS on Windows? Is it using ASP, ASP.Net, etc.?

What is your over all experience with the product?

One thing we would like to do as part of the order process is allow the
customer to upload a file, such as a picture to be printed on the final
product. Would this be difficult to do? What development language would
this need to be written in?

Hi Gabe

We have used ShopSite for many years and have done
millions of dollars in transactions and it has never let us down.

ShopSite can run in windows or unix / linux.
Are you going to host it yourself or use an isp?

The upload picture thing would need to be some custom
cgi that would open a file upload dialog and then park the file on your
server
along with some way of linking the file to the order.

There are cheep ways to do this and expensive ways.
ShopSite has a feature [ custom thank you cgi ] that would let you
build an upload screen to get the photos.
