Search issues

Postby Richard Ruda » Mon Jul 26, 2004 11:13 am

We occasionally have search problems - and now this issue has re-appeared.
Pro Ver 7.0.4.
We have 2 products - one is "53758", the other is an ASP53758.
Now under Search Settings, we have "stems" turned on with suffix and prefix
checked.
When you search for 53758 then only 53758 is found. To find both you have to
search for "*53758".
With stems turned on, a search for just 53758 should bring up both by
default...surely?

Please advise
Richard

Shopsite,
Please respond. Your silence tells me that there is a problem with the
search program.

Richard-

Can you restate your issue with search. I am also interested in seeing
certain upgrades to the search function, but I don't have anything with your
previous request.

Hi Gary,
Actually I submitted this via my ISP to shopsite and they are looking at it.
To be fair to shopsite it is a support issue but here is the problem:

Tech support resonded and resolved the issue. It was our settings in the
Back Office (sorry guys) . Shopsite documentation will be made clearer.
Great product, great support....
