CVV2 indicator VISA, MC, DISCOVER AMEX

We have moved merchants and our current merchant advises that the CVV2
indicator (those extra 3 digits for VISA. MC, Discover; 4 for AMEX) is
required now although this are not being enforced. It is certain however
that they will be required soon and those of us who don't submit it will be
charged an additional discount fee. The extra required field needs to be
there now.
Can shopsite please comment.
