Loren,
You should speak to my client online doc
www.e-med.co.uk about that!
So just to clear this up what you are saying is that there are a number
of ways the storeid may be encrypted, and all of them should work
and we can use any of them that appear when we refresh the Associate
info page... ?

That should be " . . . in 5.0 we went to encrypted storeid's . . . " not
"steroid's", sorry

Alec,
The storeid is encrypted and each time you go to look at the associate link the
encrypted string will be different, but they will all work, they all are equal
to your storeid. If you would rather just replace the encrypted value with your
storeid that will work as well, but in 5.0 we went to encrypted steroid's as an
added safety feature. If you use the Order Anywhere feature you will notice that
the storeid in the OrderAnywhere URL also changes each time you request it. If
you use ShopSite-generated pages, every time you regenerate a page the product
Add to Cart and View Cart URL's will have a different encrypted string. But like
I said before, this does not matter in the least.
It should work within frames. It's just a link to ref.cgi which creates an empty
cart for the shopper with the associate name in it, and then redirects to the
associate's destination URL. This should all work within a frame.

Hi
How is it that every time I go into the
Edit Associate Info, that the code given
under "Give this link to the associate"
is different every single time I refresh ?!
e.g. we have just got:
http://www.shiptonandheneage.com/cgi-bi ... 4d99367701606caae5fc9&name=xexec
http://www.shiptonandheneage.com/cgi-bi ... 3a227930c619a5092&name=xexec
http://www.shiptonandheneage.com/cgi-bi ... bf0904203a9306c56cad9b14a81&name=xexec
http://www.shiptonandheneage.com/cgi-bi ... 159cd0694d0af59&name=xexec
But what's worse is that it only works
*very erratically* from the merchant's web site... :[
Also, should this link be able to work
from/into a frame ?
