Missing Description (name) from merchant email

Hello,

I am using Shopsite 6.1.3 with Authorize.net.

It seems as though the x_description variable is not being passed through
the system so that the Merchant Email Receipt has a blank field where the
name of the product would appear.

========= ORDER INFORMATION =========
Invoice :
Description :
Amount : 213.40 (USD)
Payment Method : MasterCard
Type : Authorization w/ Auto Capture

The process is going through and when I go to the Orders tab, the
description is there. Also, the description appears in the customer email
and receipt.

Now, the system worked before, but something has changed, causing it to stop
work. I did try to configure the UPS shipping, but then I cancelled. I
noticed that the database had some fields, like the default Shipping
charges, cleared after that. I reset all of those, and the database looks
like it is fine. Again, the description is being passed to the customer and
to the orders tab, but not to the email for the merchant.

Any ideas?

What you have pasted is a piece from an email sent by Authorize.net, NOT
ShopSite. The ShopSite email receipt to the merchant contains all the
information (except full payment information of course) that you would
see in the View Orders in the backoffice. If you don't want the emails
from Authorize.net, turn them off in your Authorize.net account's settings.

only send what Shopsite passes them in the email. Although the email is sent

So, I need to locate what script in ShopSite sends out that variable for the
description. Something is getting blocked or not passed along the way.

ShopSite sends it's own merchant email receipt, if you are not getting
that, check the merchant email setting in Preferences -> Hosting
Service. ShopSite only sends the information to Authorize.net that is
required for Authorize.net to approve the transaction. The single
'description' field in their receipt email does not even match anything
in the ShopSite order anyway, since a ShopSite order can multiple products.

The box has been checked and still the problem persists. We are not getting
a product name from anyone.

This is the email that we get from Authorize.net from Shopsite. We are not
getting the emails from Shopsite other than the alert that says an order was
placed (it does not say what it is though).

Then the issue is that you are not receiving the receipt emails sent by
ShopSite. You should bring this up with your ShopSite reseller/hosting
provider so that they can look into that issue. The Authorize.net emails
will not contain any product information.
