Hello ShopSite.

I am look at a product directory database feature between our stores.
I need to get a sample of the product XML file, so I tried to get shopsite
to produce it.
I am having problems enabling this functionality.

Alle stores are ShopSite Pro, no mall configuration. I this a problem ?

Can the chooser and the harvester be .php scripts?

I have created two dummy pages to try to get shopsite to respond and enable
the functionality.

ShopSite store I am testing on is www.forvaltningsshop.no
And the php pages runs om info.gigashops.net

Dummy one - chooser.
If you try:
http://info.gigashops.net/gsdirectory/c ... artcatid=1
The link "SLUTT" vil return:
http://myhost/cgi-bin/ss/products.cgi?f ... eskrivelse

Dummt two - info_harvester returns:
status=SUCCESS

I can't see any errors or product.xml file on the server.

Have you got any mor detailed information about this feature?

I temporarily changed the emarketing: in global.aa to see if that was
updated in ShopStie, and it was.
Ergo, the global.aa is the right on.

Who can I test/enable this functionality?

Best regards,
Kristian

Kristian, if you are a ShopSite reseller/partner I suggest directly
contacting ShopSite support. The feature you are trying to use is typically
for ISPs/programmers and I doubt anyone on the newsgroup will have
experience with it. One suggestion from a support tech was:

"One thing that jumps out at me, though, is that they are using PHP, and
by default PHP scripts can only be run through the webserver/webbrowser,
i.e. they have to be accessed at their direct URL and can't be exec'd
under the surface by other programs like ShopSite. To use a PHP script
in this manner generally means recompiling the PHP modules, building
support for this in."
