I have a form on a page
(http://www.mobileuniversepr.com/en/soho_order.shtml) sending products to my
store. The following problem affects only Internet Explorer 6. The problem
is that the shopping cart does not work, it displays "the page cannot be
displayed" error in IE6 when this form is used. UNLESS, you already have a
cookie from my store, then it works fine. So, if you go to my store,
http://www.mobileuniverse.com/cgi-bin/s ... reid=store , then you
get a cookie. Once you have a cookie, and you go to
http://www.mobileuniversepr.com/en/soho_order.shtml and try to proceed to
checkout, you already have a cookie from the store, then your product will
show up in the store correctly. But, if you do not have a cookie from the
store first, and you try to click proceed to checkout on the page, you just
get a blank page.

So, I put a reference to the store via a fake gif file like this:
<img src="http://www.mobileuniverse.com/cgi-bin/sc/order.cgi?storeid=store"
width="1" height="1" border="0">

This forces a cookie into your browser, you then have a cookie, so the form
works fine. I know this works because I used this tactic on this page:
http://www.mobileuniverse.com/highspeed ... rder.shtml

What a wonderful solution! Yes, but... My "problem form" is on one domain
and the store is on another domain, so the cookie (as far as IE6 is
concerned) is from a third party. Thus, if you have your browser set to
standard privacy settings, it will BLOCK the cookie. Darnit, Mr Gates!

So, I tried implementing a P3P compact privacy policy to get around the
cookie blockage. I used the IBM P3P Policy Editor
(http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/tech/p3peditor) and the instructions on this
page (http://www.w3.org/P3P/usep3p.html) but it does not seem to UNBLOCK.
Don't know why.

So, back to the beginning.... is there a way to make my form work correctly,
without the user needing a cookie beforehand from my store?

Any suggestions?
