Credit Card Processing Order Error

Credit Card Processing Order Error

Hi,
I noticed someone had a similar problem to mine a few
years ago but since that's the last posting of this
problem I thought I'd give it a shot. After submitting
credit card info i continuously receive the following
error:


Credit Card Processing Error
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your order was not processed

There was a problem processing your credit card information.
Please verify that the following were entered correctly:

* Zip Code
* Card Number
* Expiration Date

If you repeatedly see this message, complete your order by contacting
the merchant directly.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Detailed error message:

Service is Restarting. Please retry later.

Invalid CVD Value. Please verify request parameters.


--end error

This happens even when I do NOT have the processor set to "reject on AVS
failure".
The payment processor is SureFire. I did try the orders manually
and they went through fine. I'm just wondering if this is a SureFire
problem or something I need to set in ShopSite? I did a search for
CVD Value and nothing came up.

Any suggestions?

What version of ShopSite 6.x are you running? I see from the tech bulletin
announcing the 6.1.1 maintenance release the following:

"Fixed a Surefire and VirtualPay error that might occur if the shopper
enters nothing in the address 1 field."

I don't know if that is related to the problem you are seeing . The current
ShopSite 6.x release is 6.2.1

Sounds like maybe Surefire isn't allowing transactions without a CVV2 value
anymore, try checking both the "Display
CVV2 Entry Box" and the "Require CVV2 Entry" checkboxes in your ShopSite's
Surefire settings (then Save Changes, of course) and place a test order
providing a value in the CVV2 field that will appear in the payment info block
on the checkout screen.
