Selection of a payment option as default

we made the experience, that most of our customers keep the default
payment option that is in shown when they enter the shopping basket. Is
it possible to select, which payment is displayed as the default one,
when you enter the shopping basket?
This can make customers select more often the payment way that is the
best for us.

There isn't a way to change the order of the standard payment options
but since die-tanzmaus.de is using 2 custom payment options why don't
you just reversed the information you used to set them up. You do this
in Preferences > Store Text > Checkout and then switch the data in the
Generic Payment options 1 and 2 fields.

Jim,

we use this way because we found no other possibility, but we would prefer a
third payment option COD. But if we activate COD, it becomes fist payment
option and many customers keep the selection and complain about the
additional charges taken from the parcel post. Therefore the only solution we
could find was to take only the generic payment options.
