Option Level Inventory Tracking

When will we be able to track inventory on the option level. Everyone in the
apparel industry must have asked this at one time or another. We're
currently working with Barney and Stone Edge to remedy this offline, but I
would really like a solution that displayed a message to our customers as
well... I love ShopSite and think it will suit us for years to come, but
this is one thing we've been begging for since we started.

Say we have a product, Generic_Shoes. This product has options...

Generic_Shoe Brown Size 14 Medium
Generic_Shoe Brown Size 14 Wide
Generic_Shoe Black Size 14 Medium
Generic_Shoe Black Size 14 Wide

I would need to track inventory on the 4 options not the actual product
itself, as just knowing how many of the Generic_Shoe doens't do me a whole
lot of good.

Make sense?

We can already add a little to the price (or take away)... it would be
really nice if this could be included too... with a min, max threshold, etc.

So how difficult would this be and is it even possible to begin with? Have
you had anyone ask for it besides us? What's the likelyhood of getting it in
a future release?

P.S. Shopsite People... we may be willing to PAY you to do this if you're
not already planning it, depending on the costs. It's a feature we REALLY
want to see in ShopSite!
