I use shopsite v5 pro on Linux (redhat7.1)
the patched version of generate.cgi stop working on indexing pages. it has a
bug, I think
I replaced the original version from tarball and everything work fine now.

It's possible that the patch was not the correct one for your operating
system. There was a known issue with the generate (and a couple of other
minor things, including wrong timestamps on emails, etc) when using the
wrong version/build of ShopSite on your Linux server. This is why there
were three versions of ShopSite v5 for Linux, and there are 2 versions
of ShopSite v6 for Linux (the ShopSite build for the very oldest Linux
that was supported in v5 is no longer supported).

Oh, BTW, since your system is RedHat 7.1 you should probably be using
the Libc6.1 build of ShopSite, but the patch used may have been for
Libc6.0 or may have been the statically linked Libc5 version (which is
the one no longer built for v6x).
