Upload Orders from a DB

Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if it is possible to have shopsite 5.01 accept mulitple
orders from a web database from an automated serverside script, without
any HTML interaction.

So, instead of using shopsites order and billing pages, we would store
the all the details (quantity, product #, and credit card details) in a
database and when we were ready to process those orders, we would have
the server upload those orders into shopsite.

We want to take pre-orders on products and once a certain number of
pre-orders is reached, we want to bill them all at once.

Any one know if this is feasible or have a better idea?
