PARTIAL STORE CRASH - Please Advise

Postby Norman » Sat May 11, 2002 12:01 pm

We are using ShopSite® SC Pro 4.3.0.1 and Authorizenet at Interland.
The credit card processing part of the store has suddenly crashed. When
someone tries to pay with a credit card, he/she gets the message below
even if the information is correct. Does anyone have any ideas?

My advice would be to call Authorize.net tech support and ask them for
advice. They may have new settings for you to try in your Authorize.net
configuration to resolve this error message. Note that this part is the
message that is actually being returned from Authorize.net: "(2-53) Scripts
are only supported in version 2.5."

Thanks to all for your help including emails. I learned that Authorizenet
upgraded its system late last week. I checked my setup in desperation and
noticed that the Version Number and path to the working scripts didn't
match. The path was to scripts for a different version. I changed to
default for the new version and added setup info. Everything is working
again. The upgrade must have made their system more demanding.

Norman,
I had the same problem with auth.net the same time late last week and went
offline for manual processing till I could figure out what the problem was.
(We were in the midst of our mother's day last-minute rush and had no time
for mechanical problems!)
So, I am assuming the changes you made to your "settings" were done at
Auth.net and not in yr shopsite backoffice?

Actually the changes were done in ShopSite ( Commerce Setup - Payment -
Configure Processor (near AuthorizeNet Box ). Please note that one shop owner
emailed that his store has started working again without him doing anything. I
believe that this whole problem has basically to do with changes at
AuthorizeNet. Actually the AuthorizeNet site crashed early this morning for a
time and I couldn't even log on their site. I hope it gets its new systems
straightened out quickly.
