"Invalid Coupon" error

Postby ISAS » Tue May 28, 2013 8:17 am

I have tried making a coupon twice in the last six months without success. I create the coupon but anyone who attempts to use it gets an "Invalid Coupon" error.

Here's the screen where I created it:

And here's what I get when I pop in the code to test—I also had someone in another building test it on their machine and they got the same error:

What am I missing in the set-up that is creating an invalid coupon?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Are you assuming that the coupon code that should be entered on the shopping cart is "SC2013"? That is the Coupon Name not the code. The first image you reference shows that the Alternate Code does not have a value in it. Since that is the case you would need to provide the shopper with the "Coupon Code" value (generally a 10 digit number) displayed lower on the screen than the area of the image you posted. You could also provide the entire Coupon URL or Coupon Link also displayed lower on the screen than your image shows.

If you want the shopper to be able to use the "SC2013" then you need to add that in the Alternate Code: field.
