Gift Certificate Variable Pricing

Is there a way within ShopSite to configure variable pricing for gift certificates.
Example: Sell $100.00 face value gift certificate at a reduced price ($75.00), but the
gift certificate is redeemable for $100.00. Also, can this same gift certificate be redeemable
during a set period of time in the future (Sold today for $100.00 face value, cost to consumer
of $75.00, redeemable during the month of March 1, 2014 through March 31, 2014 (one year from today).
Any answer or help would be appreciated.

No, Gift Certificates can only be purchase at face value and not discounted. You can set an expiration date for gift certificates but not a start and end date for them. If you set an expiration time in number of days or that they can be created to never expire. The expiration applies to all gift certificates and can't be set for just certain ones.

Coupons can be used on orders that are paid by Gift Certificates, so you can combine a coupon and Giftcertificate to do something sort of like you are wanting.
