Home Page appearance 3 Columns Template

I am playing around with test site to see if I can figure out how the features work and iron out all the bugs before setting up ShopSite for real with my web host. One issue that I haven't quite figured out, is that on my home page, it appears that the first 10 pages that I created were placed as links on the center field of the home page. I've created more pages, so it seems that there is some sort of limit of 10.

I don't see it set up that way when I look at the template example site. The template example shows a few products and cross-sell information. I am using 3 columns template.

When I go to navigation or to page content, there is nothing that allows me to delete or edit these links. I wouldn't mind having them there if I could choose which ones would show up there. And I would want to have a picture by each of the links or something exciting other than just plain text links.

Can you check out the home page and see if you get what I mean and where I would go to remove/replace/edit those links in the center of the page?

Thanks

The links that appear in the center section near the top are the pages that are assigned to that particular page. I can have many more than 10, so if you are only seeing 10 then that must be how many pages you have assigned. If you created the pages while going through the startup wizard then they will automatically be assigned to the main page. If you create pages from the backoffice they are not automatically assigned to any other page. So it may be that you created the first 10 in the wizard and then the rest from the backoffice and not the wizard.

You assign pages by going to Page , select the page you want to assign links on, click the Assign Items button and then choose Pages and select the pages you want. If you have a "Link Graphic" assigned to the page then that graphic will display instead of the page name. The template doesn't allow both text and a graphic but you could modify the template to allow that.

Thanks, Jim. I'll fiddle around with it and see what I find.

Note that you can change the number of columns of links that appear in that section on the Pages > Edit Page Layout screen.
The Columns: field is for the number of columns of products that will display on the page.
The Page Link Columns: is for the number of columns of page links that will display.
