access manage shopsite using Chrome

I use IE 9 and Chrome as my browsers - If I try to access manage shopsite using Chrome I get the following error. I have tried to clear the cookies - but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions?

Error verifying bulltorocom .auth
This store may not be authorized to run ShopSite software. Please contact the merchant or webmaster.

Solutions:


1) If the file has been modified or corrupted copy the original store.auth file from the install directory to bulltorocom .auth in the store data directory.
2) If solution 1 does not work, contact the vendor that sold you ShopSite software to get a valid auth file.

Several of the developers use chrome for their browser and don't have an issue like that. I just tried my test store in chrome and didn't have a problem either.

Are you using the exact same url in IE and Chrome?

Are you accessing the backoffice securely or non-securely, i.e. https or http for the start of the url?

Are you typing in the url or going from a link on a page?

Does your store use the webserver login (just username and password) or the ShopSite login (username, password, storeid) or the webserver login followed by the ShopSite login?

What version of ShopSite is your store running?

Is this just a recent change or has it never worked?

Has your store been upgraded or moved recently?
