Shopping cart / Check out color scheme

Please help, I think I am going mad.

Firstly, I'm not using the entire product. I have an independently hosted site that I "drop in" buy anywhere links that then take me to the shopping cart screen.

I cannot, for the life of me, find out how to change the background colors of the cart and checkout. I've done it before but what ever I do now seem to change nothing.

Can someone please put me out of my misery and help... please..??

There are built-in color fields in ShopSite which control just the shopping cart pages. Those are found under Commerce Setup > Order System > Layout Info. Question: do you know if you are using a custom template or a built-in ShopSite template?
