Tracking information

I partner with a nonprofit, in which I donate a percentage of proceeds from sales generated by their members. With the other store I used to have, they would enter a promo code in the coupon box, and I would track it that way.

Shopsite will not allow me to do this without entering an actual discount. Is there a way for me to accomplish this: where the nonprofit's members add a promo code and it automatically gets tracked on my system?

Check the Associates feature under Merchandising > Associates. You create an Associate which generates a link that you give the associate to put on their pages. When someone comes to your store from one of those links the information will be saved with the Associate information. The shopper doesn't have to enter a code to be tracked. You can set it up so your could give the associate a portion of the sale but this is not required. There is no automatic payment made to the associate if you configure it to give them a portion of the sale, you would just check how much is due them and send that outside of ShopSite.
