HTML Editor toolbar button settings don't change

I am on Manager v11 and my HTML Editor toolbar only shows Bold, Intalic, and link button. When I go into utilities to edit the buttons for each row. It accepts the changes but when I go into use it nothing changes. When I go back into the setting changes the changes are still there, but when I go to use the buttons still show only the couple original buttons.

What locale is your store configured to use? (Preferences > Locale)
Is your store using SSL?
What is the exact version of your store as listed in the footer on the Start.cgi screen?

Not sure if i understand, but the locale selection is en-US and the file is in cart/ss file.

One thing I tried was to uncheck the box labeled "Use SSL security in ShopSite (Merchant Interface)" in the hosting service settings and it fixed the problem. Obviously I need to operate with SSL checked. What might be wrong in the security setting to cause this?

There was a bug that related to the secure setting for the store that caused an issue if the secure url was not just the non-secure url with https instead of http. To fix the issue you need to have your store upgraded to a later version of ShopSite 11. I believe that patches were made for ShopSite 11 and the fix is also in ShopSite 11sp1.

I am on 11.sp1.r2.1. It is limited to the merchant interface. It must be related to the urls listed in the hosting service prefrences. Everything looks right, but can it be related to the Merchant CGIs URL and the use of HTTP or HTTPS in the url?

Again when i uncheck the box for "Use SSL security in ShopSite (Merchant Interface)" everything works fine.

Any other things to try?

It is definitely related to he secure url setting for your store. You should be able to access anything in the backoffice of your store with both a secure url and a non-secure url. If the secure url does not allow you to get to the location of the html editor configuration files then it can't be loaded so it won't work. So contact your host and make sure that the secure urls you have configured allow access to all areas of the store including the html directory, images, cgis etc.
