SGS-000100 error

Postby InspGajet » Mon Dec 26, 2011 6:34 pm

I'm encountering a problem with completing a test purchase in shopsite. Shopsite tech support told me it isn't in their program,that it is First Data (our CC processor) and First Data has no idea. so here I am. It starts out saying everything is fine then spits out the error somewhere after the initial conversation with the gateway. It will send out the purchase emails and everything, it just won't make the actual transfer of funds. Here is what I am using and everything I know of, including the error;
Application: ShopSite v11 sp1
Server OP: Linux
CC Processor: First Data
Server company: Host Gator
ERROR message:
Detailed error message:
Time: Sun Dec 25 23:57:03 2011
Reference:
Approval: REJECTED
Response Code:
Error: SGS-000100: Internal Error
OrderNum:: 10002-1324875420
AuthResponse:
Message: REJECTED: Verification Failure

if anyone has any ideas how I can go about resolving this please let me know

The error detail message "Message: REJECTED: Verification Failure" looks like it was trying to do address verification of the credit card info submitted and that failed. So if the credit card is actually a valid credit card then the address that the shopper entered for the billing address does not match the information for that credit card as far as the card issueing company is concerned. So check the address verification settings both in ShopSite and on your payment gateway site to make sure that they are configured properly to reject cards you don't want to accept. Note: not all credit card issuers provide address verification information so that could be part of the problem. Credit cards from international locations generally can not have address verification done on them so if the card is an international one that might also be a reason the card is failing.

Thank you very much for the fast response and help, at least I have a place to start debugging from. thank you very much. I re-worked some of the configurations in the back office and that worked great. "Reject on address verification failure" was the culprit. thank you again for all the help :D
