The Country used to calcluate the Shipping has changed, plea

I have several customers who have experienced problems when trying to check out, and keep getting the above error message and this loop that does not allow them to check out. Interesting thing is, they have successfully used the shopping cart in the past with no problem. If I enter NA for the zip code, that seems to solve the problem. Any ideas?

What version of ShopSite is your store using? I remember an issue similar to that several versions ago which has been fixed in more recent versions. Note that a cookie keeps shipping and billing address informations from the last completed order. If the shopper changes shipping country the cookie from a previous order may have been used in the shopping cart screen to calculate the shipping amount. If the shopper doesn't correct that country on the first shopping cart screen then shipping will be calculated for the country in the cookie so i they change the country on the billing/shipping screen then the shipping would be incorrect. This is where the problem was occurring. So if you don't have a recent version you may want to have your store upgraded to the latest version. (ShopSite 11 sp1 r1 is the latest released for Linux, Windows and FreeBSD will be released this week and Solaris in a couple of weeks.)
