missing order confirmation e-mail

Hello
I am using Shopsite version 10.

I am currently testing a shop which has not been published yet. When testing the ordering flow I am not receiving a order confirmation via e-mail, is this how it works when not published?

Is it possible to publish the shop and then un-publish/deactivate it?

If you have placed an order and have not received the email receipt then there is a problem with your mail server. ShopSite hands the mail off to the mail server hat is configured to the store it the mail server is what actually sends the mail. So check what you have configured for emails settings under Preferences > Hosting Services and then check with the server admin of that server to find out what the problem is. There is also a test application diagnose.cgi that can send an email the way ShopSite does and it might give you additional details about what is happening. Just login to your store and then in the url replace start.cgi with diagnose.cgi. The sendmail test is about 3/4 of the way down the screen.

The only way to "unpublish" a store would be to go to the output directory and deleted all of the published files.

Thank you, I checked the settings you recommended and I received a mail with no problems. I did not realize that the confirmation would not be send until the order has been cleared within PayPal. :oops: After this, I received the mail confirmation.
