JavaScript on ShopSite Pro Page

Hello, Forum;

I've got an unusual construct going where I'm placing the cart at the bottom of the products page (basically, inserting a products table on the cart page). I'm trying to get a JS pop-up to work that is activated when a visitor clicks on a product, showing an image of the item. The script runs fine when tested as a stand-alone page in a browser, but fails when I try it in the ShopSite environment. I found the FAQ on inserting JavaScript in the cart page head area, but it's a bit confusing. If I could get some advice on this it would be hugely appreciated.

The product with the onClick event is the first item in the first column (I've put it in red for now)

I am a little confused, do you want the popup on the product page or your cart page? The cart tags will not work on a page or product template?
