product id field removed?

Was the Product ID field removed in version 10.2? Was this done on purpose?

I don't know if it was removed from the download or not but even is it was not it would not be of any use to a merchant. It is an internal database record number and cannot be used directly for accessing a record. It is also not guaranteed to remain the same if products are deleted and then re-uploaded to the database. Even if you were to download the products database, empty the product records from the database and reupload the same file the record numbers would not necessarily be the same.

I just checked the list of downloadable fields and the Product ID field that was in the 10.1 download format list does not appear in the 10.2 field list. So it is not possible to get this value in 10sp2 using the 10.2 format, however since it is in the 10.1 format you could get it using that option, however you would lose any new fields added for 10.2. As I mentioned in my other post it should not be used anyway since there is no guarantee that it will remain the same and will give different values depending on additions or deletions of products.
