My website did not update after deleting product

I deleted a product from the back office. The product was removed when I went into "My Store"; however, the product remains on the website. How long does it take to update the website? or did I miss a step? Thank you. Evelyn

Did you republish your store? You can do that by going to Utilities > Publish > Make sure you have the option to generate HTML pages checked and click the Regenerate button. Your ShopSite generated pages will then be created and the deleted product removed .

If you still see the product on your store page your browser may have the page cached so try closing all browser windows and then go to the site again. If you still see the product on the store page, the page probably is not being generated by ShopSite so you will need to remove it in another way, by ftp or shell access to your server account.

Note that a product which has been added to the shopping cart of a shopper will not be removed just by deleting it from the store pages. If the shopper placed the item in the cart while it was displayed on your store page it will remain in the cart until the shopper finalises the order, removes it themselves, or the shopping cart is removed by the abandon cart clean up which happens after approximately 7 days.
