Where will the Facebook & Twitter icons appear on the page? Can that placement be coded?

If you have custom page and product templates, then you will need to add the new template tags for the facebook and twitter buttons to your templates. Yes, you can put these tags anywhere in the page you want. See the following page in the Custom Template Cookbook for the tag info:
