setting up an associate

I created an associate and emailed the link to same. She installed it on her web site, then ran a test order. But the order was reported on my own associate account, and her associate account showed no orders.

What have I done wrong?

What is the link you gave to your associate?
What is the link for yourself as an associate?
Are they the same?

Did your associate put an item into their cart at sometime using your associate link? If so the shopping cart may still exist and so when they go to the store again that cart will be reused.
