add fax fied to shop cart

Hi all
Hope you can help me.
I'd like to add a fax field to the shopping cart page so in addition to other data, we can request their fax number.
I don't see how to add fields to the form and wonder if the shopsite db permits such additions?

Are you running ShopSite Starter, Manager, or Pro? Also, what version is it?

One thing you may be able to do is to rename one of the checkout fields which you are not using and have that be the fax field (Commerce Setup > Order System > Checkout).
