Remove the Payment Type

Hello,

Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the "Select Payment Type" on the shopping cart page since it also appears on the Billing information page. I tried to remove it from the shopping cart page but it caused an error in the shopping cart. Perhaps I did not remove it correctly?

If you have more than one payment type configured in your store you cannot remove the selection from the first shopping cart screen. It is needed to know which form fields will be needed on the next page where the shopper enters the actual payment information.

So if that's the case can I remove it from the next page instead? The client does not want the customer to have to choose the payment method twice during checkout.

The field are what the are and they can not be removed. If you only have one payment option it will not show on the first screen so the shopper would choose on the second screen. If you offer multiple payment options the shopper will have to pick a payment method on the first screen and if it is a payment method such as credit card they will have to pick the type of card again on the second screen.
