drag, drop, (or cut-&-paste) order anywhere and dreamwea

Postby silken » Mon Jun 07, 2010 12:08 pm

I am trying to use the drag and drop function to place about 3000 order anywhere buttons on my site (you can see that the number encourages this method). I have followed all instructions but cannot make it work. I am using firefox on the web end and dreamweaver on the wysywyg end. Still, nothing. One set of instructions suggested that I right click on the button to copy link info, but I cannot even get the right click to bring up a contextual menu on my add to cart/view cart buttons (even though it does on other links).

The info that I want to drop into my dreamweaver pages in design mode is this: Quantity (then a box), Add to cart button, view cart button.

Any help would be appreciated, even if the help is "can't be done" (of course, that is not what I would like to hear, but at least I will stop banging away at it).

Many thanks in advance,
Debbie

Use HTML rather than Drag and Drop

The OrderAnywhere buttons by default are just straight links (hrefs) and images (or text). If you go to Products > Edit Product Layout, and check the checkbox to display the product's quantity input box it changes the regular OrderAnywhere link to a complete form. The drag and drop method works best if you are just using the default links. Since you want the quantity box displayed as well, I would suggest viewing the HTML and copying and pasting the HTML onto your page. That will ensure that you get the entire form to be displayed on your website.
