Problem arranging products

I'm having a problem arranging products on a page by price. The page in question is http://www.fishingfranks.com/store/page239.html

I'm trying to arrange the pliers by price. Currently they are arranged in the order in which I entered the product. I want to the page layout settings of the pliers page and at the bottom have the following settings:

Order: Ascending
Product Sort Field: Price
Page Sort Field: Name
Products on Top: Checked

Shouldn't this arrange those products in ascending price order?

I tried it and it worked just fine. Did you add new products to the page after setting the sort order? If so you probably need to go to the Pages > Edit page layout for the page in question and make sure the sort order is selected correctly and then Save Changes. That will force the products to be resorted according to the order specified. If you add new products I believe you need to do this again.

I created the page, added the products, then changed the sort order on the page's layout. It didn't change the order.

I can't seem to get it to do it no matter what I try.

I did some checking and there was a problem with sorting products in a Manager level store in ShopSite 10 r7.2. This has been fixed in the ShopSite 10 sp1 version that is currently the latest version. See if you can get your host to upgrade you to the newer version.

If you can't do the upgrade then you should be able to sort the items going to Pages > select the page and click Arrange Items. There will be a list of all product and page links assigned to the page and a field where you can enter a numerical order. If you want to move one item between to two other items you can use a decimal point in the number so for example if you want to move item 10 to between 7 and 8 you could enter 7.5. Then click Sort as Specified and Save Changes.

Doing it the long way worked. Thanks Jim. I'll get with my host and see if I can upgrade but I don't think I can as we purchased the ShopSite license and aren't leasing it.

I believe my host said if we purchased the software we couldn't upgrade but I'll look into it.
