many ordering variables, real-time price updates on prod pgs

I've read several inquiries on this and think I know the answer will require customized java script, but here's my specific question:

I have a client who wants a t-shirt silkscreen order website. Their customers need to be able to choose from several options:

t-shirt color (white is less expensive than any other color)
size: (XXL costs more)
Quantity
number of colors
imprints on one side or both sides of shirt.

And I need the price to update automatically as they are playing with the options.

Then, of course, the final price would need to be sent to the order page when they submit their order.

Is this a java script thing, or is there a simpler way? If it's javascript, would anyone care to quote this?

If your client has a Manager or Pro package then you can use the ordering option pull-down menus to change the price of the product based on the option selected (this is not a Starter feature).

Please note: the price will change in the cart to reflect the options chosen, but because the product page itself is static, it would not reflect the change. Also, it is suggested that you mention in the pull-down menu which options will affect the price and how. Below are some helpful links:
